SPIRITUAL FORMATION AND LEADERSHIP (SFL) WEEKENDS are 3D2N residential retreats aimed at bringing together the leadership of TRAC churches for a time of teaching, reflection, prayer, silence, solitude and community. The themes of the SFL 1 on 'Personal Spiritual Formation' focuses on building spiritual rhythms and discplines of silenc, solitude, scriptural meditation as essential rhythms for a spiritual leader. SFL 2 on 'Personal Leadership Competencies' focuses on the person, his gifts, the challenges and traps of a leaderand his call to the role of shepherding as a wounded healer. SFL 1&2 will be repeated in 2011 as a second SFL cycle. The focus fo r2010 is SFL 3&4.
Prerequisites for SFL 3 & 4 : Must have attended SFL 1 & 2 or are fimiliar with silent/quiet retreats. This pre-requisite will be helpful as you enter into the dynmics of Spiritual discernment & looking at church life for SFL 3 & 4
Nature of Retreats: All SFL retreats intergrate extended disciplines of silence and solitude with some input/teaching sessions folllowed by personal devotions and prayer projects. Other signature components include personal reflection, prayer, journaling and spiritual direction.
Options: There are two options for each SFL. Please choose the one most convenient to you in terms of dates and place. Check-in-tme on Friday by 5pm and check-out after lunch on Sunday
Number of Places: Limited number of 25 places for each retreat - on a first come first serve basis.
